For the first time ever in Australia the Beijing Golden Sail Symphony Orchestra will perform for one concert only at the Sydney Opera House. Led by Maestro conductor Fengde Liu, over one hundred young and talented student musicians will play an auditory feast on Tuesday 1 October, the Chinese National Day.
Established in 1988, the Beijing Golden Sail Symphony Orchestra was formed by the Beijing 101st high school students’ amateur art groups, and was the first student orchestra in China.
During its Australian debut, , the Beijing Golden Sail Symphony Orchestra will bring a collection of fresh interpretation of a number of world acclaimed master pieces like Carmen Suite, the unforgettable theme music ‘The Magnificent Seven’ and excitingly, this young troupe will vividly perform well known Chinese music such as ‘Ode to Red Flag’ & ‘Ode to the Motherland’ as well as the iconic Australian traditional folk music ‘Click Go the Shears’ etc.
